BBBS Selects
new Executive Director

EVERETT, Wash., February 7, 2008 Big Brothers Big
Sisters (BBBS) of Snohomish County, a branch of the YMCA
of Snohomish County, has named April Wolfe as its new executive
director, effective Feb. 1, 2008.
April has a dual
degree in psychology and sociology from Western Washington
University, and more than 12 years in not-for-profit human
services including Family Counseling Services of Snohomish
County, Brigid Collins House, TeenHope, and the YMCA of
Snohomish County. She also spent more than two years as
a program director for BBBS, and recently served as director
of external affairs for Deaconess Childrens Services.

April
brings top professional skills to our BBBS mentoring program,
and will undoubtedly continue the great work of their committed
Board of Directors, and accomplishments of previous executives,
Ann Anderst and Maddy Metzger-Utt, said Al Boren, YMCA of
Snohomish County vice president of planning and development. Her
knowledge of the county and commitment to building strong kids
will be an asset to the organization.
Wolfe will oversee
the day-to-day branch operations, which includes staff supervision,
volunteer and community relations, program development/operations,
fiscal management, financial development, and board development.
