Invest in Youth 2010

Thank You for helping Big Brothers Big Sisters
reach beyond our 2010 Invest in Youth Goal of $70,000!

Because of generous individuals in our community,
we raised $71,200 to support our mentoring programs.

Zulu and Ayrian

When I signed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters I knew I wanted to give new opportunities to
someone who was looking for them, but the experience quickly turned into something
more. Just over four years ago, I was matched with a twelve year old girl who was missing
from my life.
Zulu and I both needed each other and our relationship continues to grow. We have
become sisters and best friends.

Since I first met her, Zulu has become much more confident, adventurous, beautiful, creative and
outgoing. She now talks of going to college, traveling the world and being involved in the music industry. I’ve watched as her eyes have grown wide with the all the possibilities that life offers. I know I have helped her to see her own potential. I love my little sister and I'm so proud of the accomplishments she has already made and the goals she has set for herself.

Both Zulu and I look forward to sharing future adventures and celebrations. It’s a true blessing
that we have our support system - our families, the staff at Big Brothers Big Sisters, generous
individuals and businesses. Without this community, this life-changing relationship would never
have happened.

Please join me in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County during its annual
Invest in Youth campaign. With our help, local youth like Zulu can continue to reach their highest
potential and Bigs and Littles alike can have their prayers answered.
